A contract has been signed between PH Technology and Kemira Ibérica SA, the Spanish subsidiary of Kemira OYJ, for the design, fabrication and erection of 60 storage tanks for its new facility in Vila-seca, Tarragona.
The project, which has a total value of €1.77M, involves the design and construction of storage tanks in FRP material, to be transported and assembled on site to store chemicals such as hydrochloric and sulfuric acid, among others.
The largest units will have a capacity of 140m3 and a diameter of 4200mm.
This project is part of the strengthening of Kemira’s European manufacturing network with the building two new coagulant plants in Germany and Spain with a total investment of €40M.
Kemira OYJ, an important Finnish chemicals group, manufactures and sells chemical additives for water treatment (both drinking and waste) and for the paper industry. Various chemicals manufactured by the Kemira Group are also sold in the Iberian Peninsula.
