Aerobic biological reactor in stainless steel

Índice del post

Application
Coating for an aerobic biological reactor in stainless steel AISI 316.
The reactor was affected by corrosion caused by ferrobacteria, necessitating the application of an anticorrosive coating to protect it from the environment to which it was exposed.

Characteristics
The reactor was 19m in diameter and 11m in height, giving a total surface to be covered of 940m2.
PH Technology was responsible for the application in-situ of the anticorrosive coating, and also the installation of aeration ramps at the bottom of the reactor.

Operating Conditions
The reactor is an atmospheric container, designed to operate at ambient temperature.
The working fluid is residual water containing a diversity of organic solvents (phenol, acetone, dimethylcarbonate).

Material
The coating had a bisphenol-A vinylester resin DERAKANE 411/350 based FRP throughout the laminate.
The thickness of the coating was 5mm.
The aeration ramp pipes were made of PP-H.
