Construction of a chlorination reactor in a manufacturing plant for tricloroisocianárico acid and sodium hypochlorite.
Characteristics
Two units were manufactured in the same year. The equipment has a main bore of Ø800mm, and a total height of 16,000mm.
Operating Conditions
The reactors wer designed to operate at a maximum pressure of 2.5bar, and a maximum temperature of 60ºC. A further design constraint was set at 500mm.ca of vacuum.
The operating fluid was composed of chlorine, trisodium cyanurate and tricloroisocianárico acid (ATCC).
The reactors were of dual composition, with a liner of PVC-U and isophthalic polyester resin FRP structural reinforcement.
