Construction of a set of plastic ducts in an extraction system for acidic gases.
Characteristics
The ducts and fittings were circular in cross section, with an interior diameter of Ø2000mm.
As well as straight sections, various fittings such as elbows and reductions were also supplied.
PH Technology was responsible for the design and manufacture of the ducts and their assembly onsite.
Operating Conditions
The duct system was designed to operate at a temperature of 80ºC and an external (vacuum) pressure of 1000mm.c.a.
Material
A DUAL system was employed, using PVC-U as a liner. The structural reinforcement was a bisphenol-A vinylester epoxy resin based FRP.
