Installation of plastic ducts as part of a system for extracting acidic gases.<\/p>\n

Characteristics<\/h4>\n

The ducts and fittings had an internal square cross section of 1600mm.
\nAs well as straight sections, various fittings such as elbows, tees, reducers and butterfly valves were also supplied.
\nPH Technology<\/strong><\/span> was responsible for the design and manufacture of the ducts and their assembly on site.<\/p>\n

Operating Conditions<\/h4>\n

The duct system was designed for a temperature of 80\u00baC and an external (vacuum) pressure of 200mm.c.a.<\/p>\n

Material<\/h4>\n

The duct system was manufactured in FRP. The barrier seal was saturated with a novolac vinylester epoxy resin, while the structural reinforcement and finish was brominated bisphenol-A vinylester epoxy resin based FRP to give flame retardant properties.<\/p>\n
