Design, construction and assembly of metal supports for a piping system in the new EDR plant of ETAP ATLL.
Characteristics
The pipe system to be supported was of FRP, with a maximum diameter of DN800.
Because of the nature of the material and the intricate geometry of the pipe system, the design required a study of the complete system of piping /support in order to ensure its correct behavior. To this end, a study of the flexibility of all the pipes was carried out before the design of the supports was undertaken.
All phases of the design, and the subsequent mnufacture and assembly on site, were carried out by PH Technology.
Operating Conditions
The design specifications were based on the operating conditions of the various pipelines.
Material
The supports were manufactured of S325 quality carbon steel. The total amount of supports installed was 132,000 kg.
