Installation of plastic ducts for conveying wet gases.
The duct system functioned as the feed to an electrofiltration system in an electrolysis plant.
Characteristics
The ducts were fabricated with a circular section in diameters of Ø2000 and Ø1600.
As well as straight sections, fittings such as elbows, tees,and inserts were also supplied.
PH Technology was responsible for the design and manufacture of the ducts and their assembly on site.
Operating Conditions
The duct system was designed for a temperature of 100ºC and an external (vacuum) pressure of 100 mbar.
Material
The material for the duct system was of dual composition, with a PVC-U liner and an isophthalic polyester resin based FRP structural reinforcement.
