Evaporation tower with closed cooler circuit

Índice del post

Application
Construction of an evaporation tower with a closed cooling circuit at a chemical plant.
Using the closed circuit, process water containing corrosive agents is recovered.
The structural support of the tower is AºCº sheet metal, as is the support structure of the filler (in AºCº tubes).

Characteristics
The dimensions of the tower were 30m x 7m x 6m, giving a total surface of 650m2. The support structure of the filler was also coated.
The work carried out by PH Technology included the application of anticorrosive coatings to walls and structures, manufacture of the internal supply and distribution piping system, final assembly of the tower, and the subcontraction of the manufacturing of the A ºCº elements.

Operating Conditions
The evaporation tower was designed to receive its operating fluid at a maximum temperature of 37ºC.
The cooling water contains fluorine, phosphorous and fluosilicic acid.

Material
The coating had a bisphenol-A vinylester resin DERAKANE 411/350 based FRP throughout the laminate.
The thickness of the coating was 5mm.
The internal supply and distribution piping system was manufactured in PP-H.
