Application
This equipment separates organic materials using coalescing panels, and is part of a hydrometallurgical plant for the extraction of copper.

Characteristics
This equipment is of parallelepiped geometry, with dimensions of 28m x 8m x 2m, and houses three rows of coalescing panels, for a total of 84 units.
The equipment was manufactured at the plant because of its large size.

Operating Conditions
The equipment was designed for an acidic fluid with an inlet temperature of up to 87ºC, and a nominal flow of 410 m³/h.

Material
The shell was manufactured using a bisphenol A vinylester epoxy resin based FRP
The coalescing panels and their fillings are of polypropylene
The internal support structure of the panels was made with pultruded profiles.
