In an industrial setting the conduction of gases typically involves the use of large diameter pipes, which are subjected to both high temperatures and considerable vacuum pressures. These working conditions involve high exposure to corrosion, as well as complex mechanical stresses (most evident in the case of dual systems). The design of the elements is normally based on the guidelines contained in EN13121, AD2000 Merkblatt N1, while for the study of complex configurations (geometry, operating conditions), our technical office uses the FEM (finite element method).
